Mission Statement

The purpose of the Historic Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce is to continue developing an economically prosperous business district while maintaining the character and integrity of Kinston-Lenoir County, making it the "heartbeat" of the community.

The Historic Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce is a united effort promoting commerce, culture, trade, good fellowship and cooperative relationships amidst diverse individuals and businesses. The majority of the membership of the Chamber is made up of individuals and businesses within the city of Kinston-Lenoir County.

The Historic Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Kinston-Lenoir County CVB, is also dedicated to raising the awareness of the Kinston-Lenoir County area through tourism, and markets the area as a tourist destination.

Monthly Business Before and After Hours - Our monthly BAH/BBH is not just food and refreshment. Many social and business contacts take place at each mixer and the contacts will benefit your business and staff. Only members may sponsor Business After Hours.

Membership Directory - You receive two free listings and may also purchase specialty advertising in The Chamber's Membership directory. This comprehensive listing of Chamber members, categorically, and alphabetically distributed to local residents and businesses annually.

Internet Page - All members are listed free of cost on The Chamber's Internet membership directory.

Relocation Information - This package includes demographics, fact pamphlets, maps, calendar of events, visitor information, business information, etc.

Mailing Labels - Mailing labels for the complete listing of Chamber members are available for marketing your products and services directly to fellow Chamber members. Members can order a set of mailing labels for a nominal fee.

Referral Service - It is The Chamber's policy to refer only Chamber members to the hundreds of telephone and written requests by businesses and individuals. You will be one of our referrals.

Networking - You reach potential customers every month at Business After Hours and other membership activities and events.

Committees - Members are always welcomed and encouraged to get involved in any of the vast array of Chamber committees. The benefits are great when you become an active part of The Chamber and help shape the future.

Advertising - You may advertise in the Member Resource Directory, The Chamber newsletter "Chamber Update", on The Chamber's Internet member listing, or choose a sponsorship opportunity from the variety of Chamber programs and activities planned each year. As a member, you receive two free listings in the Membership Directory, the same listings on The Chamber Internet member listing, and are acknowledged as a new member in The Chamber Update.

Brochures - Any member may display their business brochures by bringing a small supply by The Chamber. (We cannot accept large quantities due to limited space.) It will be the member's responsibility to periodically check with us to see if their supply has run out.
