Welcome to the Chamber-
Get to know us.
Once you learn what the Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber does and
how it benefits the community and the region, we’re confident
you’ll want to become involved and take advantage of everything
the Chamber provides.
You’ll also find out quickly why so many members share with us
that the more engaged they are in the activities of the Chamber,
the more they benefit personally and professionally.
The Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce is a 501 (c) 6
non-profit association of more than 650 members. It is an
organization made up of businesses, agencies, nonprofits and
individual members that join together for the common good of
promoting business and the general welfare and prosperity of our
community. Through this association the Chamber Board of
Directors and members invest their time, talents and financial
support to provide benefits, programs, services and a voice to
the community and fellow members businesses. The Chamber is
constantly working to promote business, quality education, and
economic growth while striving to meet the needs of the
community.
Each year the Chamber of Commerce invites its entire membership
to participate in a Planning Conference. The purpose is to
collectively identify issues, programs and projects that the
Chamber should undertake in the coming year. This
collection of ideas is then used to help construct a document we
call the Plan of Work. You can access this year’s Plan of
Work by going to
kjohnson@kinstonchamber.com. Copies are also available at
the Chamber office.
The Chamber works through various committees to ensure quality
programs and member benefits. The more you participate in
Chamber activities, the more you will benefit. Looking
for a way to get more involved? Get connected with the
Chamber committees! Members have the opportunity to share
their expertise and enthusiasm with the community and advance
the role of the Chamber. Check out the Chamber’s many
volunteer committees and help shape a prosperous future for our
