Programs Overview
Chamber Programs
The programs of the Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce serve members and the community. In addition to the programs listed below, the chamber also has several Action Committees dedicated to serving members and the community.
Annual Meeting and Banquet
Each year the Chamber holds the Annual Banquet to celebrate its accomplishments. This Banquet allows the Chamber to recognize an extraordinary citizen of Lenoir County as having rendered outstanding services to Lenoir County by presenting the Citizen of the Year Award. The Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award, Ambassador of the Year, and Young Professional of the Year are also recognized at this event.
Business After Hours and Before Hours
Members of the Chamber can host an event at their place of business or at an alternative location to showcase the product and services they offer to the community. These events are designed for both social and business engagements and can be scheduled by contacting the Chamber. Business After Hours or Before Hours can be a catalyst to increase the awareness of your products and services and for growing your business model. It is our foremost showcase and engagement program.
Wake Up Lenoir
The Wake-Up Lenoir will be held quarterly during the year and will cover topics of interest to our membership and our community. Speakers and panels for these breakfast meetings will include Federal, State, and Local elected and appointed officials as well as business leaders in our community. Topics will cover economic and community development, health and education, aerospace and aviation, and manufacturing and retail. These breakfast meetings are designed to inform and engage our membership with valuable information that will improve their knowledge of our community and engage them with other business leaders.
Small Business Awards
Small Businesses make a huge impact on the economy in our community. Each year the Chamber recognizes the outstanding Small Business, Minority Business, and Micro-Enterprise Business of the Year at the Small Business Awards/Luncheon. Also recognized is the Administrative Professional of the Year.
